Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate
About
Hana Park brings a wealth of personal and professional experiences to her counseling practice. Growing up in Korea, Hana obtained her first MA in English in 2008 before pursuing her second MA in Clinical Mental Health from Denver Seminary in Colorado. Her journey into mental health began as a counselor at the psychiatric unit in Porter Adventist Hospital in the US before embarking on a transformative chapter in Thailand alongside her husband Seon, who worked in community service, primarily supporting immigrants. Over the span of eight years, Hana immersed herself in teaching English and Korean to Thai and Chinese exchange students at the Language Institute of Chiang Mai University while concurrently engaging in community outreach and pastoral care for people struggling with multicultural issues and stress. Understanding that healing is a lifelong process, she has been able to help those facing significant life struggles and challenges, especially in a different cultural setting. With over a decade of international experience as a counselor, teacher, and community service worker, Hana has cultivated a deep understanding of cultural nuances and challenges, fueling her passion to assist those grappling with major life and cultural difficulties.
